We are looking for a lawyer to join our global Legal Compliance team in Lyngby, Denmark. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced legal professional who wants to combine deep legal expertise with practical business impact. Importantly, while the role extends beyond traditional legal advisory work, you will retain and further develop your professional legal specialization while helping shape and strengthen Novonesis' global compliance framework.

You will join a collaborative, business-facing team responsible for key compliance areas including anti-corruption, whistleblowing and investigations, sanctions and trade compliance, privacy, AI governance, competition law, food & health regulation, compliance due diligence, and compliance training and awareness. Together, we partner with the business to enable responsible growth while maintaining the highest ethical standards.

The Role & Your Impact

In this role, you will serve as a legal business partner influencing decisions with independent judgment, helping Novonesis drive strategic compliance initiatives across a global organization.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing practical, risk-based advice to business leaders and stakeholders on compliance-related dilemmas.
  • Driving global compliance projects from design and stakeholder alignment through implementation, communication, training, and follow-up.
  • Providing compliance assessments related to emerging regulatory requirements and helping define effective governance and ownership models.
  • Leading investigations, and remediation initiatives.
  • Building compliance awareness and fostering a proactive culture of integrity across functions, regions, and commercial teams.
  • Leading and continuously improving Novonesis' global anti-corruption compliance program.
  • Working closely with line of business, and other corporate functions in headquarters as well as in the regions.

This role offers a unique opportunity to remain close to complex legal and regulatory questions while taking ownership of implementation, change management, and strategic compliance initiatives across the business.

What You'll Need to Be Successful

We imagine you bring:

  • A Master's degree in Law.
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience from an international company, law firm, consultancy, audit firm, enforcement-related function, or compliance role.
  • Experience advising on anti-corruption, trade sanctions, or other areas of legal compliance and regulatory risk.
  • Experience in conflict handling, investigations, and contract drafting
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
  • The ability to translate complex legal and compliance matters into clear and actionable business guidance.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills and experience working across functions and cultures in a global environment.

Qualified and licensed lawyers are encouraged to apply. The role offers the opportunity to maintain an active license (“bestalling”) to practice law while building an in-house career.
