Job summary

Vestas is seeking three experienced Lean Specialists to strengthen our Production Excellence capabilities in Europe, with two roles based in Aarhus, Denmark, and one in Szczecin, Poland. You will partner with factories to implement Lean and Production System across manufacturing operations.

You will lead cross-functional improvement projects, coach lean teams, and help standardize material flow and ramp-up readiness, traveling up to 100 days per year.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations or supply chain.
• Lean, Production Excellence or Operational Excellence experience in manufacturing.
• Factory/manufacturing environment experience; PEX experience valued.
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt (Black Belt advantageous).
• Experience applying Lean methodologies to complex manufacturing challenges.
• Wind, heavy engineering, automotive or similar industries are highly relevant.
• Experience with production flow, material flow, logistics, NPI or ramp-up is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Apply and embed Lean and Production System across manufacturing.
• Lead Lean initiatives focused on flow, waste reduction and performance.
• Coach factory teams on Lean methodologies and problem solving.
• Manage cross-functional improvement projects and NPI streams.

Within Nacelles Manufacturing, our Flow Engineering team works closely with our factories to improve production performance, develop Lean skills and create efficient, scalable manufacturing processes.We are currently looking for three experienced Lean Specialists to strengthen our Production Excellence capabilities in Europe, with two positions based in Aarhus, Denmark, and one in Szczecin, Poland. Our primary focus is finding specialists with extensive Manufacturing Production Excellence experience, while we are also interested in candidates who bring relevant Logistics Production Excellence experience. ResponsibilitiesAs a Lean Specialist, you will work closely with factory teams and engineering functions, acting as a subject matter expert for Lean and Production Excellence. Your responsibilities will include:• Apply and embed the Vestas Production System and Lean methodologies across our manufacturing organization• Lead Lean and Production Excellence initiatives focused on manufacturing flow, waste reduction, operational performance and continuous improvement• Partner closely with factories and Process Engineering teams to coach lean methodologies, identify improvement opportunities and translate them into practical, sustainable solutions with continuous improvement and structured problem solving• Manage cross-functional improvement projects and NPI project workstreams, ensuring alignment and delivery against agreed project objectives• Apply structured problem-solving methodologies to complex operational challenges and support factories where local gap closure requires additional skills• Define and lead material flow standards to set up warehouse, material handling equipment, crane plans for the new product ramp up, improvement and standardization• Support Lean assessments, KPI reviews and improvement plans, following actions through to implementation and measurable performance improvement QualificationsWe are looking for an experienced Production Excellence professional who combines solid Lean knowledge with practical manufacturing experience.• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations, Supply Chain or another relevant discipline• Solid relevant experience in Lean, Production Excellence, Operational Excellence, Continuous Improvement or a comparable manufacturing function• Demonstrated Production Excellence experience in a factory or manufacturing environment, with Manufacturing PEX experience particularly relevant for these positions• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification or equivalent Lean qualification, with Black Belt certification highly advantageous• Experience applying Lean methodologies and structured problem solving to complex manufacturing and operational challenges• Experience from wind, heavy engineering, automotive or another complex manufacturing industry is highly relevant.
