Job summary

Danfoss A/S is seeking a Lead Variant Configuration Consultant to drive enterprise-wide SAP Variant Configuration initiatives. The role connects Sales, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Finance, and IT to deliver scalable configuration solutions for complex Drives products.

The position is hybrid, with Nordborg, Denmark as the preferred location but open to other EU sites. You will collaborate across a global team to standardize and optimize configurability in a multinational manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• Expertise in SAP Variant Configuration (LO-VC/AVC) with scalable configuration models.
• Experience with end-to-end business processes across Engineering, Sales, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Finance.
• Proven ability to lead complex ERP and digital transformation initiatives in a global environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end Variant Configuration projects from strategy through implementation.
• Translate requirements into scalable SAP Variant Configuration solutions including Super BOMs/Routes and dependencies.
• Own and evolve the sales configurator domain to enable complex Drives configurations.
• Drive governance and process standardization across the configuration landscape.
• Collaborate with Product Management, Engineering, Sales, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Finance, and IT to deliver transformation projects.

The Impact You'll Make

As our Lead Variant Configuration Consultant you will drive the design, implementation, and optimization of enterprise-wide configuration solutions within Danfoss Power Electronics and Drives. In this role, you'll use your expertise in SAP Variant Configuration (LO-VC/AVC) to create scalable solutions that connect processes across Sales, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Logistics, Finance, PLM, CPQ, and eCommerce platforms.

Working closely with business and IT stakeholders, you'll lead strategic transformation initiatives that reduce complexity, increase standardization, and enhance how configurable products are brought to market in a global manufacturing environment.

You'll join a global team of configuration specialists located across Europe, Asia, and North America, working together to shape the future of configurable products at Danfoss. Nordborg, Denmark, is the preferred location for this role; however, we are open to candidates based at other Danfoss locations across the EU, with Ljubljana, Slovenia, being the preferred alternative. This setup ensures close collaboration with business stakeholders and team members in a highly connected international environment.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Lead end-to-end Variant Configuration projects from strategy through implementation.
• Translate business requirements from product managers and cross-functional stakeholders into scalable SAP Variant Configuration solutions, including Super BOMs, Super Routings, and dependency logic.
• Own and evolve the sales configurator domain, enabling customers to efficiently configure complex Drives solutions while supporting business objectives.
• Drive standardization, governance, and process optimization across the configuration landscape.
• Collaborate and influence stakeholders across Product Management, Engineering, Sales, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Finance, and IT to successfully deliver transformation projects and create business value.

What We're Looking For

• Expertise in SAP Variant Configuration (LO-VC and/or AVC), including designing and implementing scalable configuration models for complex products.
• Extensive understanding of end-to-end business processes across Engineering, Sales, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Finance, and how configuration supports business objectives across these functions.
• Experience independently leading complex ERP, configuration, or digital transformation initiatives in a global environment.
• Ability to build relationships, facilitate discussions, and create alignment across diverse stakeholder groups.
• A proactive and analytical approach, with the confidence to challenge existing ways of working and drive meaningful improvements.
