Job summary

Jones Engineering is seeking a Lead Planner for Europe with 3–5 years post-qualification experience in M&E contracting. You will develop detailed construction schedules, resource-load plans, and KPI tracking, while coordinating with site teams and clients to ensure timely delivery.

You will attend site meetings, monitor budgets, and maintain the project control system, delivering clear weekly reports and look-ahead schedules across multiple locations in Europe.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years post-qualification experience in M&E contracting.
• Experience with Primavera P6 for construction scheduling.
• Site-based role with potential rotation.

Responsibilities

• Development of detailed construction schedules for baseline agreement with client.
• Ability to fully resource load schedules and track KPI’s.
• Ensuring accuracy and timely updating of construction schedule.
• Track planned versus actual EV progress and create graphs/metrics for project reports.
• Collaborate with construction team to log issues via change control processes.
• Attend site meetings (internal and client-based).
• Monitor budgets for scope growth/changes.
• Utilize Jones Engineering internal database project control system.
• Monitor fabrication workshops and site installation output.
• Lead in production/co-ordination of weekly construction reports.
• Provide look-ahead schedules for construction teams and clients.

Job Description

• Development of detailed construction schedules for baseline agreement with client

• Working with construction team members to capture and log any issues via the appropriate change control mechanisms
• Attending site meetings (internal and client based)
• Monitoring original versus actual budgets for scope growth/changes
• Use of Jones Engineering internal database project control system
• Monitoring fabrication workshops and site installation output
• Productivity tracking of craft labour Spent vs Earned hours
• Take lead in production/co-ordination in issuing of weekly construction reports
• Provide all relevant look aheads for the construction teams and clients where applicable.

Skills And Requirements

• Relevant 3rd level qualification
• Minimum of 3-5 years post qualification experience (ideally in a M&E contracting environment)
• Experience based on utilising Primavera P6 software required
• Site based role working on a standard working week basis or rotation basis
• Remuneration package will be commensurate with qualifications and experience
