Job summary

Ramboll seeks a Lead Mechanical Engineer to expand its presence in industrial and energy markets. You will identify opportunities, develop client relationships, win work, and lead multidisciplinary projects from concept through execution.

Join Ramboll's international Mechanical & Plant Design organisation, working with teams across Denmark and Global Competence Centres on projects spanning industrial facilities, gas infrastructure, Power-to-X, and hydrogen.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar.
• 8–10+ years of relevant experience in industrial plants, energy infrastructure, gas systems, process plants, manufacturing, offshore energy, or related industries.
• Strong technical understanding of mechanical systems, equipment, piping, pressure equipment, rotating machinery, or plant design.
• Proven track record in client engagement and business development.
• Experience leading engineering projects and multidisciplinary teams.
• Commercial mindset with ability to identify opportunities and build long-term client relationships.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work independently and drive initiatives from idea to execution.
• Fluent Danish, both spoken and written.

Your new role

As our new Lead Mechanical Engineer, you will play a key role in expanding Ramboll's presence within industrial and energy markets. You will be responsible for identifying opportunities, developing client relationships, winning work, and leading multidisciplinary engineering assignments from concept through execution.

You will be part of Ramboll's international Mechanical & Plant Design organisation, working closely with colleagues across Denmark and our Global Competence Centres. Our teams deliver projects ranging from industrial facilities, gas infrastructure and compressor stations to Power-to-X, hydrogen, process plants, and specialist mechanical services. We combine local client engagement with global engineering expertise to deliver sustainable solutions for the industries of tomorrow.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Developing and maintaining strong relationships with existing and new clients.

About You
