Job summary

Ramboll invites a Senior Lead Engineer to join the Power Systems team in Denmark. You will lead LV/MV design for diverse projects across Denmark, guiding senior engineers and coordinating cross-disciplinary teams to deliver robust technical solutions aligned with client goals.

You will shape concepts, perform feasibility and FEED studies, and ensure high-quality consultancy from early design through execution, while nurturing client relationships and sustaining long-term value.

Qualifications

• Bachelor/Master level electrical engineering degree.
• Proven experience in Power Systems and LV/MV engineering.
• Experience managing projects and engineering teams independently.
• Commercial mindset and client-facing skills.
• Strong oral and written English (and Danish) communication.

Responsibilities

• Lead design of low voltage and medium voltage systems per standards.
• Own and drive technical scope; lead smaller/mid-size teams.
• Act as client’s technical advisor and Owners Engineer where applicable.
• Prepare technical specifications for transformers, switchgear, cables, grounding, protection.
• Support procurement with technical clarifications during execution.
• Participate in factory and site acceptance tests; support sales efforts.

Your new role

As a Senior Lead Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering projects concerning Power Systems and low & medium voltage systems to projects within different areas such as power plant, industrial plants, power-to-x, oil & gas, etc.

We are a department responsible for developing the Danish market within Power Systems and electrical engineering and cover all aspects projects including early concept and feasibility studies, FEED studies, detailed engineering and follow-on engineering on projects in Denmark.

As a senior and experienced professional, you will guide, advise, and support clients in identifying the best technical solutions for their projects. You will combine your own deep technical insight with the specialist expertise available across Ramboll, ensuring that clients receive high-quality advice grounded in professionalism, trust, and long‑term value.

In this role, you will act as the client’s technical advisor, assessing technical options, and helping shape solutions that are technically robust and aligned with the client’s business goals. Drawing on your significant experience, you will lead the technical scope of Ramboll’s projects and, depending on project size and complexity, coordinate and lead smaller to mid‑size engineering teams.

The role combines hands‑on technical leadership with responsibility for client relationships, advisory excellence, and long‑term customer satisfaction within power systems, high‑voltage and grid connection.

Your key responsibilities will be:

• Lead the design of low voltage & medium voltage systems according to relevant standards and regulations
• Leading the technical scope including leading smaller/mid-size engineering teams
• Acting as the client’s technical advisor and take on the role as Owners Engineer
• Prepare technical specifications for power transformers, switchgear, cables, earthing and lightning protection
• Provide technical input and support procurement processes, including handling technical clarifications during project execution
• Participate in factory acceptance testing and site acceptance testing
• Participate in sales and proposal work

About You

• B.Sc./B.Eng. Electrical Engineering, M.Sc. Electrical Engineering or similar
• Proven experience within Power Systems & low voltage & medium voltage engineering
• has experience independently managing projects and smaller/mid-size engineering teams
• a commercial mindset and approach
• Strong oral and written skills in Danish and English
