The Lead Software Engineer role supports this by delivering high-quality software solutions that empower developers to build interactive LEGO experiences efficiently.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create tools that support developers in creating tech-enabled LEGO experiences, considering developer experience.
  • Ensure high software quality through code reviews, automated testing, and continuous integration, with a strong emphasis on unit testing, while being comfortable with context switching between projects.
  • Support the automation of pipelines and toolchain development to improve developer efficiency and quality of life, balancing between perfecting software and making rapid delivery.
  • Engage in architectural discussions to drive innovation and technical excellence, making loosely coupled IT solutions.
  • Mentor junior engineers, providing technical guidance and best practices, and fostering an environment eager to teach, learn, and experiment with an agile mindset.
  • Embrace the "You build it, you run it, you own it" philosophy, ensuring ownership and accountability for the software developed.

  • Demonstrated experience in automating development pipelines and improving developer toolchains, with knowledge of Docker.
  • Comfortable working with cloud endpoints and backend integration.
