The LEGO Group in Billund is seeking a Lead Engineer - Network Namespace Management to shape core network services, including DNS/DHCP and certificate management, delivered as self-service products. You will mentor engineers while aligning architecture and driving reliable, vendor-agnostic data models.
You'll join Digital Technology's Network & Connectivity area in a hybrid work model across multiple locations.
Job Description
Just imagine a world where more than 200 product teams can manage critical network infrastructure changes themselves, through intuitive APIs and command-line tools. – Well, that’s where we are by now. But perhaps we can make it even better!
As our Lead Engineer - Network Namespace Management, you'll help shape and evolve core network services across the LEGO® Group. You'll drive the development of DNS, DHCP and certificate management capabilities delivered as self-service products, enabling teams to make critical infrastructure changes within their own areas of responsibility. You'll also help evolve vendor-agnostic data models for devices and identities while applying site reliability principles to ensure highly available services across your scope.
If you've worked in a role where you built self-service infrastructure platforms, managed critical network services, or designed data models that supported large engineering organizations, you'll feel at home here. What matters most is your ability to balance technical leadership with hands‑on engineering, make thoughtful architectural decisions, and help others succeed through mentoring and collaboration.
You'll join Digital Technology's Network & Connectivity area, where the Network Namespace Management team delivers mission-critical services covering domain systems, network identity services and core data models. The team operates with a hybrid rhythm across multiple locations and disciplines. Technical leadership is built through capability communities, architecture forums, planning processes and close collaboration with product teams. We value collaboration, engineering excellence, knowledge sharing and continuous improvement. You'll work with engineers across Digital Technology to enable teams to take ownership of the products they build and operate.
We are an international team based at the vibrant LEGO® Campus in Billund. The work environment is exciting, inspiring, and flexible – and we have some fun along the road!
Success means becoming a trusted technical leader who can balance stakeholder needs with user outcomes while shaping key platform capabilities for the future. You'll help advance the management of domain names, DDI and IP address management, and secure communication between devices. Over the next 12 to 18 months, the team will continue expanding self-service capabilities and strengthening critical network services. You'll work closely with engineers and technical stakeholders across Digital Technology to help scale secure, reliable and easy‑to‑use platform services.
Please note: If you require any reasonable accommodation or adjustments throughout the application process, please let us know. We will work with you to meet your needs.
This position is in Senior Manager Specialist Skyline. Relocation support is not offered.
