Job summary

Danfoss Power Solutions in Sofia is seeking a Lead Engineer, Data to build the data foundation powering our AI Hub. You will provide technical leadership, establish governance, and mentor a growing team to deliver scalable data products across the organization.

You will design architectures, data models, and pipelines, enabling analytics at scale and cross-functional collaboration with data, analytics, AI, and business teams.

Qualifications

• Experience with Databricks or similar cloud-based data platforms.
• Hands-on experience designing and maintaining scalable data architectures, data models, and ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Proficiency in SQL and Python.
• Experience with data governance, data quality, data security, and access management practices.
• Ability to communicate complex concepts clearly and collaborate effectively in fluent English with both technical and business stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Enable AI and analytics at scale by building and evolving trusted Databricks-based data platforms, architectures, and data products.
• Deliver reliable, AI-ready data by designing and maintaining scalable data models, pipelines, and integration frameworks.
• Establish best practices for data governance, security, quality, and platform management, ensuring data can be used confidently across the organization.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to a growing team, helping define engineering standards, ways of working, and development practices.
• Drive adoption of data and AI solutions by partnering with engineers, analysts, product owners, and business stakeholders across Danfoss Power Solutions.
