Job summary

Danske Commodities is seeking a Junior Quantitative Analyst to support the Intraday Analysis team. You will analyse market behavior, backtest quantitative ideas and develop Python-based models and tools to support trading decisions and automated strategies.

You will collaborate with analysts and traders, turning complex data into actionable insights while building predictive tools and dashboards. A student in a relevant programme with Python experience is expected, with strong English skills and

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a relevant higher education programme (e.g., data science, CS, math/physics, economics or engineering).
• Experience with Python through studies, projects or previous work.
• Basic understanding of statistical or quantitative methods and their application to data.
• Interest in financial markets, trading, machine learning or optimisation.
• Proficiency in English – written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Analyze market and trading data to identify patterns and opportunities.
• Develop and backtest quantitative models and trading ideas using statistics and ML.
• Build and improve Python tools, dashboards and reports for analysts and traders.
• Monitor and maintain existing analyses and models; investigate unexpected results.
