Job summary

Hub is seeking a Junior Embedded Operations Engineer to design, test, and validate sensors and modules. You will build, flash, and test proof‑of‑concept setups and read datasheets independently.

Based in Copenhagen, this in‑office role emphasizes hands‑on work with microcontrollers, Linux, scripting, and test equipment. Occasional travel to customer sites is expected, with thorough documentation of results and processes.

Qualifications

• Hands-on microcontroller experience (STM32, ESP32).
• Proficient in command-line scripting (Bash, Python).
• Strong Linux knowledge.
• Experience with AWS IoT or similar cloud IoT platform.
• Experience with oscilloscopes, multimeters and lab equipment.
• Familiar with test jigs, HIL testing and fault finding.
• Ability to read datasheets independently.
• Willingness to travel to customer sites.
• Excellent English communication.

Responsibilities

• Build, flash, and test proof-of-concept setups for new sensors, modules, and features.
• Read and interpret technical datasheets to evaluate and integrate new components.
• Use oscilloscopes, test jigs, and HIL setups to find faults and debug issues.
• Support production runs by reviewing test results and flagging issues early.
• Help monitor our deployed Data Collector units and troubleshoot device issues using logs and data.
• Write scripts to automate testing and repetitive operational tasks.
• Travel occasionally to customer sites to support device deployments.
• Document setups, test results, and procedures thoroughly and consistently.
