Job summary

Donkey Republic Copenhagen is seeking a proactive Junior Accountant to join the Accounting & Controlling team. You will anchor day-to-day transactional accounting, collaborate with the Accountant and Senior Controllers, and ensure accurate ledger entries, reconciliations, and vendor operations.

You will join a 100% international team, work in a hybrid setup at our Copenhagen headquarters, and contribute early in the growth of our finance infrastructure while learning from experienced controllers

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of hands-on bookkeeping or general ledger accounting experience.
• Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
• Experience with ERP systems (e.g., Business Central, NetSuite, NAV) and Excel.
• Fluent in English; knowledge of Danish or another European language is a plus.
• Hands-on experience with corporate expense tools like Pleo.

Responsibilities

• Process incoming vendor invoices and manage AR aging reports.
• Handle routine payment runs and vendor inquiries.
• Own expense workflows via Pleo, ensure correct coding and month-end reconciliation.
• Perform daily and monthly bank reconciliations and GL journal entries.
• Support month-end close and maintain audit-ready documents.
• Collaborate with the Financial Accountant across local entities.
