Job summary

Alfa Laval is seeking a field service engineer to join our marine team in Aalborg. You will perform service, maintenance and repair tasks on boiler systems aboard vessels worldwide, with up to 160 travel days per year.

We value curiosity and problem-solving, with a focus on safety and delivering excellent customer experiences in a fast-paced, international environment. Marine engineering background and SOP/reporting skills are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform service, maintenance, and repair of boiler systems aboard vessels.

About the job

You will work with service, maintenance and repair tasks on board vessels. The whole world is your workplace, and your assistance is often needed within short notice. As the maritime sector undergoes a green transition process with new environmental requirements, there are several upgrade tasks of current installations.

• Service, maintenance, repair, troubleshooting and upgrading of boilers, burners and control systems.
• Inspection of boiler systems.
• Commissioning of boiler plants and retrofit systems.
• Training of crews in handling and servicing boiler systems.
• Technical support and documentation.

Travel activities will be up to 160 days per year.

You are curious by nature and exceptional at solving problems. You enjoy working in a fast-paced international environment with exciting challenges. For you it is essential to give an excellent customer experience.

Required Qualifications

• Probably come with an educational background within marine engineering or similar.
• You have strong reporting skills including producing SOP’s and a safety mindset.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience with boilers or field service experience on board vessels is an advantage.
• Additional you have electrical, and automation knowledge related to boiler controllers.
