Job summary

DTU Construct is seeking a motivated research assistant to explore interface management and systems engineering for modular product and manufacturing design. The role focuses on reducing delays and integration problems across subsystems in multi-company projects, with a strong emphasis on literature reviews and publishing.

The position is full-time for 3 months, starting mid-September 2026, based at the DTU Civil and Mechanical Engineering campus in Denmark.

Qualifications

• You must hold a Master’s degree in engineering or equivalent.
• Experience modelling mechanical, electrical and software solutions.
• Familiarity with PLM and CAD tools for interface management.

Responsibilities

• Conduct state of the art literature study on interface definitions and modelling across technology areas.
• Evaluate how interfaces can be managed by PLM and CAD tools.
• Document the literature study findings.
• Publish the research in a Web of Science based journal paper.
