Job summary

Qualifications

At TILSTROM Engineering & Consulting, we are looking for an Industrial Designer to join our growing team of consultants. In this permanent full-time position, you will shape, form, and design industrial products for a variety of clients. As part of our continued growth, you'll be working on exciting projects ranging from premium consumer goods to advanced industrial equipment.

You will be employed by TILSTROM and work as a consultant on assignments with our clients (primarily in the Copenhagen or Aarhus area). This means collaborating closely with each client's development team to deliver outstanding design solutions that meet both aesthetic and functional requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the industrial design process for new products from initial concept and sketching through 3D modeling, prototyping, and production-ready design, ensuring a balance of aesthetics, usability, and manufacturability.
• Collaborate with mechanical and electrical engineers as well as manufacturing partners to ensure your designs are technically feasible and can be produced within cost, quality, and sustainability targets.
• Present and communicate design concepts to clients and stakeholders, incorporating feedback and advocating for best design practices throughout the project.

Requirements

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Industrial Design or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in product/industrial design, with a portfolio showcasing products taken from concept to production.
• Experience in designing high-end consumer products or complex industrial equipment is highly desirable.
• Proficiency in 3D CAD modeling and visualization tools (e.g., SolidWorks, Creo, Rhino, KeyShot).
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and materials, and how to design for production.
• Good communication skills in English (Danish proficiency is a plus), with the ability to present and explain design decisions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
