Job summary

Heimstaden Bostad AB based in Copenhagen/Oslo seeks an Indirect Tax Manager to lead VAT projects and optimise the group’s tax structure across jurisdictions.

You will partner with local finance teams, drive VAT structuring on development projects and transactions, and stay ahead of EU and Nordic VAT developments, ensuring compliant, efficient indirect tax operations aligned with the company’s strategic goals.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Law or Finance.
• 6-8 years of experience with indirect taxes in a multinational environment.
• Strong expertise in VAT in real estate.
• Solid understanding of EU VAT rules and Scandinavian VAT rules.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills; Swedish is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Drive VAT structuring in transactions across markets.
• Identify VAT opportunities and cost-saving initiatives.
• Monitor and analyse VAT structures; initiate optimization projects.
• Collaborate with local finance teams to ensure consistency across jurisdictions.
• Lead VAT controversy matters with external advisors.
• Monitor international tax developments and assess impacts.
• Support market entries and cross-region initiatives.
