Job summary

VELUX is seeking an IIoT Platform Technical Lead in Denmark to steer the technical direction of our shared IIoT platform while coding as part of engineering teams. You will enable manufacturing apps through reliable connectivity, standardised data, and reusable platform services.

You will guide engineers, coordinate with vendors and stakeholders, and maintain a lifecycle and governance model for platform components. Regular on-site presence in Denmark is required, with some remote work allowed.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of software/platform/integration engineering with technical leadership.
• Experience building C#/.NET services and APIs; event-driven architectures.
• Knowledge of industrial connectivity, MQTT, edge runtimes, container orchestration, data contracts, observability, and OT cybersecurity.

Responsibilities

• Own and maintain the IIoT platform technical roadmap, including runtime, frameworks, connectivity components, data contracts, developer tooling, observability and lifecycle enablers.
• Coordinate technical planning, reviews and coaching across the platform engineering group; act as first escalation point and guide external contributions.
• Establish and evolve engineering guardrails, reference patterns and development paths; maintain boundary between platform and domain logic.
• Contribute hands-on to platform services and reusable components through design, development, testing and improvement.
• Support platform observability, incident investigations and improvements in collaboration with Operations.
• Manage platform lifecycle health including security, patches, upgrades, documentation and technical debt.
