Job summary

Scandinavian Tobacco Group (STG) is seeking a Customs & Trade Compliance Professional in Assens, Denmark to safeguard our global trade flows and reduce customs-related risk. You will collaborate with Planning, Customs & Transportation, Procurement, Finance and IT to keep processes compliant and well documented.

The role covers handling import/export procedures, monitoring legislation changes, and setting up regimes such as EMCS, IPR and bonded warehouses.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in customs & trade compliance and import/export processes.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in declarations and documentation.
• Analytical ability to interpret legislation.
• Proactive, service-oriented mindset with stakeholder collaboration.
• Danish language proficiency and valid Danish ID Card.
• Working proficiency in English.
• Nice-to-have: Descartes software experience.
• Advantage: exposure to AEO, UCC, CBAM, EUDR, or customs audits.

Responsibilities

• Manage import/export procedures to ensure compliant, timely customs flows.
• Monitor changes in customs legislation and country obligations.
• Set up and oversee regimes such as EMCS, IPR, and bonded warehouses.
• Classify products for HS, ECS, and FTA declarations and duty management.
• Support SAP-based customs processes as a basic user.
• Conduct risk assessments and manage customs claims with documentation.
