Job summary

Mind Energy’s Back Office Operations team in Finance Operations is seeking a detail‑driven Back Office Controller to bridge trade execution and settlement.

You’ll use SQL and Excel to validate trades, support invoicing and month‑end processes, and automate controls as you deepen your understanding of energy trading products.

Based in Aarhus with flexible remote options when tasks allow, you’ll collaborate with Risk, Finance and Tech and contribute to REMIT/EMIR reporting.

Qualifications

• A degree in finance, economics, business administration or related field.
• Experience in controlling, back-office operations, settlement or energy trading support.
• Strong Excel, SQL and VBA; interest in automation and data-driven controls.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with colleagues across teams.
• Fluency in Danish and professional proficiency in English.

Responsibilities

• Validate and reconcile trades, fees and settlements, investigating discrepancies and ensuring reliable data.
• Support invoicing, settlement alignment and month-end processes.
• Use SQL and Excel to strengthen and automate controls, reducing manual work.
• Build understanding of Customer Business and dependencies to identify opportunities for better controls and processes.
• Collaborate with Risk, Finance and Tech on post-trade workflows and market developments.
• Contribute to regulatory reporting and audit readiness, including REMIT and EMIR requirements.
