Job summary

Global Wind Service is hiring a High Voltage Technician to support our expanding services in the wind industry. The role involves performing electrical tests and leading teams safely in various environments worldwide. Ideal candidates will have relevant education and experience, as well as the ability to travel internationally.

Qualifications

• At least 6 months of experience in wind energy.
• Valid GWO training and OGUK Medical Fitness certificate.
• Clean driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical tests such as VLF, MoM, Insulation and Relay Tests.
• Be a Team Lead for High Voltage activities.
• Safely operate High Voltage equipment.

The Role

At Global Wind Service, we are currently ramping up our expanding High Voltage Services and we are looking for you!

As a traveling High Voltage Technician, you will work globally in onshore, pre‑assembly or offshore environments. Delivering high quality solutions, with safety as the first priority to our projects.

Become a part of our High Voltage Team

In this position, you will be part of the team of our skilled technicians delivering best in class High Voltage solutions. You will be part of a growing business that continuously develops. This also means that your development is key to Global Wind Service.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical tests such as VLF, MoM, Insulation and Relay Tests.
• Be a Team Lead for High Voltage activities.
• Connect High Voltage Terminations.
• Work according to the safety regulations.
• Safely operate High Voltage equipment.

Profile

• Have experience with High Voltage work.
• Have completed a relevant electrical education.
• Have at least 6 months of experience in wind.
• Have good English skills.
• Have ability and willingness to travel and work domestically and internationally as required.
• Have ability and confidence to work at height (includes physical fitness to climb).
• Have valid GWO training and OGUK Medical Fitness certificate.
• Are EU citizen and have EU passport.
• Are cooperative, communicative, open‑minded, and flexible – with respect for others and other cultures.
• Can work at remote sites in adverse weather conditions.
• Are professional with a high emphasis on Quality and Safety.
• Possess clean drivers’ license and ability to obtain a passport.

• EHS‑8270
• 72.5kV Cable Training
• Mitsubishi 72.5 SWG Training
• Accreditation with SGRE or Vestas
