Job summary

Dedalus in Aarhus, Denmark, seeks an Operations Engineer (SRE/DevOps) to ensure the health, performance and reliability of our 24/7 production environment. You will combine traditional operations with SRE/DevOps practices, focusing on automation, observability and continuous improvement.

You will collaborate with infra, security, development and product teams to keep platforms stable, secure and resilient while modernizing services.

Qualifications

• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills in complex system environments.
• Hands-on experience with Windows Server and Linux (e.g., RHEL).
• 5+ years in operations, SRE, DevOps or similar roles, preferably in healthcare or regulated environments.
• Solid understanding of enterprise infrastructure, virtualization, networking and storage.
• Experience with monitoring, alerting, and incident handling (e.g., Checkmk).
• Ability to work across multiple technologies and learn quickly.
• Strong stakeholder communication, able to explain risks and solutions clearly.
• Customer-focused and safety-conscious mindset.
• Self-driven, collaborative and eager to learn.
• Proficiency in Danish and English.

Responsibilities

• Ensure stable 24/7 operation of critical healthcare systems.
• Troubleshoot issues across Linux and Windows environments.
• Communicate with technical stakeholders during incidents and changes.
• Operate and maintain virtualized server environments and databases.
• Participate in deployments, upgrades and production changes.
• Improve monitoring, alerting and observability.
• Identify opportunities for automation and scalability.
• Maintain operational documentation and runbooks.
• Assess readiness of solutions for production, balancing quality and security.
• Support security hardening and compliance activities.
• Own operational tasks from planning to implementation.
• Coordinate smaller technical initiatives across teams.
