Job summary

Alfa Laval Mid Europe GmbH in Copenhagen or Brussels seeks a Head of Marketing to lead the new BU PES marketing organisation, driving competitiveness, innovation and sustainable growth in a decentralized, global setup.

You will report to the BU President, establish the marketing function, define go-to-market strategies, and collaborate with sales, product development and regional hubs to accelerate growth across energy, food, water and shipping sectors.

The Food & Pharma Division, one of the three industry specific divisions at Alfa Laval, pioneers positive impact by supporting life-critical industries through transformation. The division develops and delivers advanced technologies, such as high speed separators, decanters, pumps, valves, heat exchangers and filtration systems that enable customers in the food, dairy, beverage, pharmaceutical and water industries to optimize processes, improve product quality, and reduce environmental impact. The Food & Pharma Division consists of: BU HFH (Hygienic Fluid Handling & Heat Transfer Technologies), BU SET (Separation Technologies), BU WIFH (Water, Industrial Flow & Heat Transfer Technologies) and BU PES (Process Engineering Solutions).

About the job

In 2022 Alfa Laval acquired Desmet, including the operational units and brands of RoseDowns and Stolz. Since then, Desmet has operated as a separate entity within Alfa Laval. That is about to change. Desmet will become part of Business Unit Process Engineering Solutions (BU PES), bringing together the former Business Unit Food Systems and Business Unit Desmet. As the new Head of Marketing, you will have the opportunity to build the Marketing organisation from the ground up. This is a pivotal role designed to drive competitiveness, innovation and sustainable growth in a dynamic, globally decentralized organization where central functions support our regional hubs. In this role you will report to the BU President, Christian Thomsen and be part of the BU PES management team.

Key responsibilities:

• Strategic Planning & Insights Drive informed decision-making by defining go-to-market strategies, business plans and performance KPIs based on customer, market and competitor insights
• Commercial Excellence Accelerate growth by generating and nurturing leads, optimizing the customer journey, and aligning closely with sales to drive revenue. Leverage customer data and insights to informed decisions and challenge sales and management with actionable intelligence throughout the sales funnel

Who you are

• Transformational agent with proven experience in marketing management, preferably within process engineering or related industries
• Strong strategic and analytical skills, with the ability to translate market insights into actionable plans
• Demonstrated ability to drive commercial excellence, maximizing sales performance and customer satisfaction
• Experience in product development, pricing, positioning and launching new products is an advantage
• Excellent communication and leadership skills, with a collaborative and entrepreneurial mindset
• Ability to work effectively in a global, decentralized organization
• A passion for innovation, sustainability and continuous improvement

The position could be based in Copenhagen or Brussels. The selected candidate should spend time in both countries
