Job summary

APM Terminals Aarhus is seeking a Head of Finance to align financial performance with operational and strategic goals. You will lead the terminal's finance function, partner with the Managing Director, and shape budgeting, forecasting, and governance frameworks.

You will build a high-caliber finance team, drive data-driven decision making, risk management, and cross-functional collaboration across procurement, legal, tax, and treasury as part of the terminal management team.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in financial business partnering, controlling, or FP&A.
• Budgets, reporting, accounting, and investment analysis knowledge.
• Strategic mindset with hands-on operational interest in terminal operations.
• Excellent communication across a matrix organization.

Responsibilities

• Lead the terminal finance function across accounting, control and risk, planning, performance management, and governance.
• Act as a strategic partner to the Terminal Managing Director and senior management.
• Drive FP&A, investment analysis, performance management, and data-driven decisions.
• Ensure financial information is accurate, timely, and compliant with controls.
• Maintain a robust enterprise risk, tax, treasury, and insurance control framework.
• Lead finance capabilities and system changes including BI initiatives.
• Oversee procurement and legal matters while coaching the finance team.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the terminal finance function across accounting, control and risk, planning, performance management, and corporate governance.
• Act as a strategic business partner to the Terminal Managing Director and contribute actively to the senior management team.
• Drive financial planning and analysis, investment analysis, performance management, and data-based decision support.
• Ensure financial information is accurate, reliable, timely, and compliant with legal and internal control requirements.
• Maintain a robust, risk-based control framework covering enterprise risk management, fraud prevention, tax, treasury, claims, and insurance.
• Lead finance capabilities and process improvements, including functional initiatives, system changes, and business intelligence.
• Oversee the daily execution of procurement and legal matters while leading, coaching, and developing the finance team.
