Job summary

VELUX Group in Denmark is seeking a Head of Data & AI Platforms to lead a cross-disciplinary team delivering scalable data, analytics and AI platforms. You will shape strategy, govern technology choices and drive value through robust platform capabilities across Snowflake, dbt and GenAI tooling.

You will champion talent development, foster collaboration with security, legal and procurement, and ensure platforms are secure, resilient and cost-efficient to support rapid AI-enabled business

Qualifications

• Substantial experience within Data Science, Data Engineering, Analytics, AI or a related field.
• Several years of people leadership experience, including direct personnel responsibility.
• Proven track record of leading and developing high-performing technical teams.
• Strong leadership capabilities with the ability to engage employees and influence stakeholders.
• Solid understanding of modern data platforms, cloud technologies and AI ecosystems.
• Understand Generative AI, LLM-based solutions and the economics of AI workloads.
• Strong stakeholder management skills and thrive in a collaborative, global environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead, inspire and develop a high-performing team of Data & AI Platform Engineers, DevOps specialists and Data Scientists.
• Own and drive the roadmap for the Data & AI platform landscape, including Snowflake, dbt, GenAI Hub, AI Gateway, Cortex Agents and related tooling.
• Set platform standards and best practices within security, reliability, governance, cost management and developer experience.
• Lead architecture discussions and technology evaluations across the Data & AI ecosystem.
• Partner closely with AI delivery teams to ensure platforms and capabilities effectively support business priorities.
• Monitor and optimise platform and AI-related costs, including token consumption across AI workloads.
• Own platform risk management, resiliency, disaster recovery and business continuity planning.
