Job summary

Jobtailor in Copenhagen is seeking a hardware-focused engineer to help define requirements, tests, and verification for USB-based products. You will collaborate with suppliers and internal R&D teams (SW, mechanics, audio) to ensure robust hardware builds.

You will work with battery-powered and wireless designs, perform lab measurements, analyze data, and use Python or Excel macros for automation and data processing. A proactive, communicative mindset is essential.

Qualifications

• Relevant educational background (electrical/data/computer engineering)
• Experience collaborating with third-party and external partners in electronics development
• Previous work with USB standards and hardware product design
• Experience in battery-driven and wireless product design
• Understanding of measurement equipment and test setups
• Ability to be proactive and act as an icebreaker in communication with internal and external parties
• Audio knowledge is a plus as HW team handles audio integration and PCBA-level audio verification

Responsibilities

• Deeply involved in defining requirements and specifying necessary tests and verification processes
• Collaborate closely with suppliers to ensure products are properly defined and verified
• Work with hardware requirements, design specifications, and test/verification plans
• Participate in USB-based product development
• Engage with Bluetooth and Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) products
• Contribute to battery-powered product development, including optimization
• Work with suppliers to provide design requirements and define verification criteria for hardware builds
• Internal cooperation within R&D - SW, mechanics and Audio Engineering
• Perform measurements in a hardware lab and analyze data for improvement actions
• Utilize data analysis and automation tools such as Python or Excel macros
