Newrest is seeking a motivated Graduate - Executive Chef for a one-year program in Denmark/Sweden. You will develop menus, source products with Procurement, and oversee cooking processes while ensuring safety and hygiene standards.

You’ll lead teams, train staff, and maintain client relationships, with IT flair and strong organizational skills. The role emphasizes learning, collaboration with the Commercial Team, and participation in client presentations.

Qualifications

  • Newly graduated as a chef or with other culinary background like catering, hospitality or similar.
  • Health & Nutrition related degree (e.g. Professionsbachelor), Clinical dietician, food science, etc.
  • Willingness to learn, open-minded and IT-flair are important.

Responsibilities

  • Develop new menus and recipes in line with client requirements and needs.
  • Source new products with Procurement.
  • Oversee production techniques, including preparation and cooking processes.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with procedures and quality standards.

We are looking for an ambitious and curious Graduate - Executive Chef for a one year program, who is ready to trade ordinary days for sizzling pans, delicious aromas and enthusiastic colleagues. I you have a passion for food, processes, finance, food safety- and hygiene, IT and much more and enjoy working as a part of a team and don’t mind getting a little tomato on your clothes, we would love to meet you. Join our Production Department and start cooking up a career that’s anything but bland!

Culinary and Support:
  • Develop new menus and recipes in line with client requirements and specific needs
  • Source new products in collaboration with the Procurement Department.
  • Oversee production techniques, including preparation and cooking process
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with operational procedures and quality standards
  • Supervise Production across all units and implement corrective action plans when necessary
  • Share expertise and provide training for kitchen staff
  • Ensure compliance with hygiene and food safety regulations and promote adherence among teams
  • Lead and coordinate teams responsible for recipe preparation and production
Management:
  • Conduct internal audits and quality controls (food testing) to ensure proper menu execution, including product quality and portion sizes
  • Monitor costs associated with recipe preparation and production
Commercial Activities:
  • Maintain strong business relationships with clients
  • Participate in client presentations in collaboration with the Commercial Team
  • Anticipate client needs and propose menus that meet their expectations and requirements
  • Prepare and provide the information and documentation necessary to ensure the successful execution of menus.

You are new to the job market, prepared for the proper job to ignite your career. Maybe you are:

  • Newly graduated as a chef or with other culinary background like catering, hospitality or similar or:
  • Graduated within Health & Nutrition (i.e. 'Professionsbachelor'), Clinical dietician, food science etc.
  • Open minded and eager to learn
  • Flexible and able to adapt to changing situations
  • Strong verbal communication skills in English (mandatory) and ideally Danish.
  • IT- and technical flair
  • Knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene protocols
  • Strong problem-solving and organizational abilities
  • A positive and can-do attitude
  • Ability to lead and collaborate constructively with a broad range of stakeholders
  • Analytical skills.
