Job summary

Novo Nordisk in Bagsværd, Denmark, seeks a Senior Vice President to lead Corporate Strategy & Business Development with an enterprise-wide mandate to shape strategy, identify external opportunities and translate priorities into partnerships and transactions delivering long-term value.

You will report to the CEO, be a member of Executive Management, and lead a global organisation of about 60 employees across Strategy and Business Development.

Qualifications

• Senior leadership experience in corporate strategy, business development or related disciplines.
• Strong track record of shaping enterprise strategy and leading complex strategic partnerships, transactions or acquisitions.
• Broad scientific and commercial understanding with strong financial acumen.
• Crucial credibility to advise and challenge the CEO and Executive Team.
• Proven ability to develop leadership teams and build high-performing organisations.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and regular review of Novo Nordisk's corporate strategy with the CEO and Executive Management.
• Shape strategic choices on where to compete and how to win to support long-term ambitions.
• Lead the full business development value chain from identification to post-deal integration.
• Connect internal capabilities with external opportunities including partnerships and acquisitions.
• Ensure rigorous strategic and financial assessment with clear governance and accountability.
