Job summary

ABENA A/S is seeking a Global Internal Communication & Engagement Specialist to rethink our internal platform and connect colleagues across countries. You will shape content, translate leadership priorities into clear messages, and drive engagement across ABENA.

You will own the direction of internal communications, craft engaging stories, and collaborate with local editors to ensure consistency between global and local messaging.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in internal/ corporate/ organizational communication.
• Digitally curious and tech-savvy with familiarity with internal platforms.
• Strong writer able to translate leadership messages into clear content.
• Experience turning complex topics into simple, relevant communication.
• Confident in setting direction, formats, and workflows.
• Hands-on, outgoing, and able to coordinate across teams.
• Excellent written and verbal Danish and English.

Responsibilities

• Create engaging internal content: global news, leadership comms, town halls.
• Shape the digital workplace as we rethink the internal platform on Microsoft 365.
• Own internal communication direction: principles, formats, flows, channels.
• Spot stories across countries and functions; work with local editors.
• Guide local communicators to ensure global-local consistency.
• Plan activities and editorial calendars; follow up and iterate.

We are looking to rethink our internal communication platform and move toward a modern Microsoft 365 environment. You will play a central role i rethinking how colleagues across countries, functions and teams find information, share stories and connect with the bigger picture through our future internal communication platform.

As our new Global Internal Communication & Engagement Specialist, you will step into a newly created role with considerable freedom to shape both the role and how we communicate across ABENA.If you see a better way to communicate, we want to hear it. You will create content yourself, turn business priorities and leadership messages into clear and engaging communication, and find stories worth sharing across functions and countries.

The aim is to do more than keep people informed: bring colleagues closer to our business, create engagement and strengthen the feeling of being part of one ABENA.

Your key responsibilities will include

• Create engaging internal content-write and shape global news, leadership communication, town hall content and stories that engages all employees.
• Help shape our future digital workplace – bring the business and communication perspective as we rethink our internal communication platform and move toward a modern Microsoft 365 environment.
• Own and set direction for how we communicate internally – help define principles, formats and communication flows, including what we communicate, where and how.
• Bring stories to life across ABENA – spot good stories across countries and functions, work with local editors and turn input into communication people want to read.
• Guide and spar with colleagues responsible for local communication, helping them apply best practices, turn local input into engaging content, and creating greater consistency between global and local communication.
• Keep communication relevant and moving – plan communication activities and editorial calendars, follow up on execution and use feedback and insights to continuously improve how we communicate.

What we are looking for:

• 3–5 years of experience in internal, corporate or organizational communication, ideally from an international organization with multiple countries and stakeholders.
• A digitally curious and tech-savvy communicator with a good understanding of internal communication and engagement platforms and their possibilities. Experience with SharePoint, Microsoft 365, or similar environments is a strong advantage.
• A strong writer and content creator who knows how to find the story, sharpen the message and adapt communication to different audiences and channels.
• Experience turning leadership decisions, organizational changes and complex topics into communication that is simple, relevant and easy to understand.
• The confidence to set direction and create structure – you are comfortable establishing formats, guidelines and ways of working and helping others apply them consistently.
• A hands‑on and outgoing approach – you enjoy reaching out across the organization, building relationships and getting things from idea to finished communication, while keeping track of many moving parts.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Danish and English.
