Job summary

FUJIFILM Lifesciences Biotechnologies Denmark is seeking a head of the Bioreactor Scale-Up team to set global vision and drive modeling and simulation of cell culture processes. You will lead, develop, and implement scaling methodologies across KojoX initiatives, collaborating with process science teams to move bench-top work to pilot and production scales.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. or MS.c in Chemical Engineering, Biochemical Engineering or similar with minimum 10 years of industry experience in bioreactor scale-up modeling and simulation of cell culture processes.
• Preferably at least 3 years of managerial experience in biopharmaceutical industry.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication skills for customer interaction and team collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the strategic vision for the scale-up team.
• Align with global scale-up teams to ensure unified strategies.
• Develop and execute methodologies for scaling cell culture processes from bench top to large scale bioreactors across various sites.
• Collaborate with cross-site Process Development Teams to transition laboratory processes to pilot and production scale.
• Serve as the primary point of contact to customers in relation to scaling of their processes.
• Analyze data and identify areas for process improvement for ongoing programs.
• Stay informed on the latest advancements in bioreactor design and simulation.
