Job summary

Ascendis Pharma is seeking a Director or Senior Director of Group Accounting & Reporting. Based in Hellerup, you will lead the Group Accounting & Reporting team, drive IFRS and external reporting, and shape accounting policies across the group.

Qualifications

Experience with IFRS accounting standards and preparing memos and annual reports.
Experience with US GAAP and SEC reporting is an advantage.
Ability to navigate a global group with multiple foreign entities and frameworks.
Strong written and oral communication skills in English.

Responsibilities

Lead and develop the Group Accounting & Reporting team (6 colleagues).
Drive external reporting under IFRS; quarterly and annual filings.
Ensure IFRS and SEC reporting compliance; manage consolidation workflows.
Develop IFRS accounting policies and address US GAAP differences.
Oversee complex accounting matters including leases, contracts, and share-based payments.
Establish IFRS reporting procedures across the group; drive process improvements.
Collaborate with Global Finance on technical accounting matters.
Promote AI and automation to improve efficiency, controls, and insights.
