The Department of Computer Science at the Technical Faculty of IT and Design, Aalborg University, is looking to appoint a FullProfessorstartingApril1,2027or soon thereafter.

We areseekingvisionary and internationallyrecognisedscholars who can provide strong academic leadership and drive research excellence within the department. The successful candidate will play a key role in shaping the future direction of research and education, strengthening international collaborations, attracting external funding, and contributing to the continued development of a vibrant and inclusive academic environment.

We are looking for applicantsthatare able to document a high degree of original academic production at an international levelin computer scienceincluding supervision of PhD students.Competencesand experience from teaching atdifferent levelsincludestests/exams, course/study programme management as well as contributions to the development of teaching activities and teaching material.You are a clear communicatorand hasdocumented skillsasgroup leader.As a person, you have good interpersonal skills, areinclusive and team-orientedand able to contribute toa good workenvironment.

Emphasis is placed on the extent, to whichyou havedeveloped the academic discipline from a research and teaching perspective.

Emphasis may moreover be placed on theyourability to carry out and develop research-basedactivitiesin relation to the university’s external cooperation.

The Department of Computer Science at Aalborg University is highly regarded in Denmark among researchers, students, and external partners due to its leading research, education, and collaboration activities. The department currently employs more than 165 academic staff and approximately 20 administrative staff and has around 1,100 students.

Our research is internationally and nationallyrecognisedas being of the highest standard,prioritisingquality over quantity. We balance applications and theory, as well as societal and scientific impact, applying research to solve real-world problems. In addition, we conduct fundamental research withthe potentiallong-termimpact.
