Job summary

Intellishore in Copenhagen is seeking a Forward Deployed AI Engineer who works closely with clients to understand problems, design and deploy robust AI solutions in production. You’ll collaborate with platform architects, strategists and designers to turn fuzzy challenges into scoped, working results grounded in data foundations.

Our teams span AI strategy, data architecture, scalable enterprise platforms and GenAI products used in daily operations.

Qualifications

• Ingeniously self-driven, resourceful, and collaborative problem-solving with others.
• Hands-on full-stack engineering across Python backend and JS/TS frontend.
• Experience with databases and data modelling, especially PostgreSQL.
• Cloud experience in Azure, AWS or GCP and deploying to client environments.
• Ability to map and communicate architecture for both systems and data.
• Applied generative AI, prompt/context engineering and RAGen workflows.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement and evaluate solutions, measuring accuracy, quality and speed for client scrutiny.
• Carry solutions from working demo to production-ready for the client’s team.
• Map and communicate solution architecture from systems and data perspectives.

Job description

We’re looking for a Forward Deployed AI Engineer who can sit down with a client on Monday, understand what’s actually broken, and have something working in front of them by Friday, and then make it hold up in production.

Are you our new Forward Deployed AI Engineer?

Forward deployed means what it says. You work close to the client: in their systems, in their meetings, in their language. You’ll design, build and deploy solutions that survive contact with real users and real infrastructure, not just a demo environment.You’ll work alongside platform architects, strategy consultants and product designers to turn fuzzy client problems into scoped, working solutions grounded in solid data foundations. Two projects are rarely the same.

In this role, you will:

• Design, implement and evaluate solutions, measuring accuracy, quality and speed in ways that hold up to client scrutiny

• Carry solutions from working demo to something the client’s team can run,trustand maintain

• Map and communicate solution architecture, both from a systems perspective and a data perspective

• Integrate with existing client systems and deploy into client infrastructure, designing for handover so clients canoperateand extendwhat’sbeen built

• Work directly with client stakeholders to translate operational problems into scoped, buildable solutions through fast discovery cycles

• Help shape work beforeit’ssold,scoping, proposals, and the conversations that turn an idea into an engagement

We cross-staff dynamically, assembling cross-functional teams tailored to each project’s needs. As a Forward Deployed AI Engineer you’ll be based in the AI & Engineering tribe.

Who are we looking for?

We’re open for both junior and senior level, so read the list below as the shape of the profile rather than a checklist. Nobody arrives with all of it. What matters is that you’re self-driven, resourceful, and enjoy solving hard problems with other people.

Building things

• Full-stack engineering. Python on the backend, JavaScript/TypeScript on the frontend. Tested, version-controlled codeyou’dbe comfortable handing to someone else.

• Databases and datamodelling. PostgreSQL or similar. Comfortable designing a schema, reasoning about table relations, and knowing why the model matters before thefirst rowlands.

• Cloud. Azure, AWS or GCP,deploying andoperatingin it, not just reading about it.

• Solutionarchitecture and system design. You can draw the diagram: how services and components connect, where the data flows, what the useractually does. And then explain it to someone whodoesn’tbuild software.

• Applied generative AI. Prompt and context engineering, retrieval-augmented generation, agentic workflows. Just as importantly, the judgement to say when GenAIisn’tthe right tool and a rule, a classical model, or no automation at all would serve the client better.

• Taste. You care how the thing looks and how it feels touse. AStreamlitapp or a notebook is a prototype, not a product, and you know the difference.

Working with clients

• Fluency in their language. You can listen to a client describe their week, hear the actual pain point underneath whatthey’resaying, and talk back in their terms rather than ours.

• Translation. Turning businessobjectivesand half-formed requirements into technical specifications someone can build from.

• Presence in the room. Presenting, explaining trade-offs, managing expectations, and being able to say no when no is the right answer.

• Commercial instinct,or an appetite for it. Proposals, orals, SOWs, scopingconversations. Ifyou’resenior,we’dexpect you to lead this. Ifyou’reearlier in your career,we’dexpect you to want to learn it.

Industry knowledge (notrequired, but useful)

• Understanding ofthe healthcare and pharma domain,typical commercialand marketingworkflows, systems such as Veeva, Salesforce, SAP and SharePoint, and the regulatory backdrop includingGxP. A good deal of our work sits in regulated industries, so this shortens theramp considerably.

• Experience deploying into restricted, on-premise, or client-controlled environments.
