Job summary

Teton is seeking a Financial Controller to run the daily finance function with accuracy and strong controls in a fast-growing startup environment. You will report to the Director of Finance and touch accounting, compliance, reporting and financial analysis hands-on.

In this role you will close books, support audits, manage cash flow and drive process improvements. You should bring startup finance experience and a rigorous, proactive mindset to contribute to scalable financial operations.

• Strong analytical mindset with meticulous attention to detail.
• Experience running finance for startups or similar high-responsibility finance roles.
• Comfort with data systems, automation and continuous learning.

Responsibilities

• Overall ownership of month-, quarter-, and year-end close; ensure controls, accuracy and compliance.
• Manage accounting, reporting, and financial analysis with a hands-on approach.
• Support VAT, audits, and internal/external reporting; monitor AP/AR and reconciliations.
• Drive process improvements and internal controls to optimize financial performance.

The Role

As Financial Controller, you will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the finance function, ensuring accurate reporting, strong controls, and operational excellence. Reporting to the Director of Finance, you will take a hands‑on approach across accounting, compliance, reporting, and financial analysis in a fast‑paced, high‑growth environment.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will help on 4 broad categories

• Accounting and closing (Overall responsibility for month, quarterly and year‑end; controlling; reconciliations; compliance; AP / AR)
• Process optimization and internal control
• Reporting, compliance and auditing (VAT; audit preparations)
• Financial controlling through variance analysis on actuals vs forecasts
