Job summary

Teton is seeking a Financial Controller to lead day-to-day finance operations in a fast-growing startup in Copenhagen. You’ll ensure accurate reporting, strong controls, and operational excellence.

Reporting to the Director of Finance, you’ll handle month/quarter/year-end close, compliance, VAT, audits, and variance analysis, while driving process improvements across accounting and finance.

Qualifications

• Experience running finance for a startup or similar high-responsibility finance roles.
• Demonstrated ability to implement controls and reporting.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

The Role

As Financial Controller, you will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the finance function, ensuring accurate reporting, strong controls, and operational excellence. Reporting to the Director of Finance, you will take a hands-on approach across accounting, compliance, reporting, and financial analysis in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will help on 4 broad categories

• Accounting and closing (Overall responsibility for month, quarterly and year-end; controlling; reconciliations; compliance; AP / AR)
• Process optimization and internal control
• Reporting, compliance and auditing (VAT; audit preparations)
• Financial controlling through variance analysis on actuals vs forecasts
