No prior experience required, but basic construction knowledge helps. You should be physically fit, able to lift materials, climb ladders, and follow supervisor instructions while learning from experienced colleagues.

Qualifications

• No previous experience required but some knowledge of construction or carpentry is preferred.
• Physically fit and able to lift heavy materials, climb ladders and work on scaffolding as needed.
• Attention to detail for accurate measuring and cutting of plasterboard panels.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team following instructions from supervisors or more experienced workers.
• Basic understanding of safety procedures and ability to follow them at all times.

Responsibilities

• Measure and cut plasterboard panels to fit specific areas.
• Install plasterboard panels on walls, ceilings and other surfaces using screws or adhesives.
• Smooth out joints and seams using joint compound.
• Sand down rough edges and apply finishing coats of paint or wallpaper.
• Repair damaged plasterboard panels by patching holes or replacing entire sections.
• Follow safety procedures and wear protective gear at all times.
• Maintain tools and equipment used for plasterboarding.
