Job summary

Ambu is seeking an engineering support specialist in Mexico to assist translation, testing, production-pilot transfer, installation, validation and documentation of new products.

You will collaborate with MFG engineers, perform inspections and tests, apply GR&R and SVs where applicable, and train production staff.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical, Manufacturing, or similar.
• 1-3 years of hands-on manufacturing or medical device experience.
• English language medium to advance; experience with GR&R, SVs, engineering studies, or protocols preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist MFG Engineer in developing new product validation program and reduce launch time.
• Perform walkthroughs, inspections, product evaluation and testing as needed.
• Conduct Engineering test evaluations such as GR&R, SVs, Test Method, and Criticality.
• Understand and utilize assembly documentation (Schematics, BOMs, Visuals, Debug, Testing tools).
• Provide clear direction and training for production associates.
• Advise on scheduling and staffing needs.
• Provide guidance and leadership to new technicians or clerks.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Assist MFG Engineer in developing new product validation program and assure compliance to reduce the launch time.
• Perform walkthroughs, inspections, product evaluation and testing as needed.
• Conduct Engineering test evaluations such are: GR&R, SVs, Test Method, Criticality.
• Ability to understand and utilize assembly documentation such as but not limited to the following: Schematics, BOM's, Visuals, Debug, Testing tools and procedures.
• Provide clear direction and training for production associates.
• Advice on scheduling and staffing needs.
• Provides guidance, training, and leadership to new technicians or clerks.
• Responsible for ensuring personal and Company compliance with all Federal, State, local and Company regulations, policies, and procedures.

Authorities:

• Reject change orders through the design change system.

Education and Experience:

• An Associates of Industrial Engineering, Mechanical, Manufacturing, or similar or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 1-3 years of experience or equivalent knowledge and skills to perform the position responsibilities.
• Experience in the medical device industry or medical field.
• Experience in GR&R, SVs, Eng. Studies, Protocols (Preferred)
• English language medium to advance.
