Job summary

Maersk is seeking a Senior Network Engineering Lead to guide a team of Network Engineers across global operations. You will coordinate escalations, drive alignment with global standards, and manage regional network risks and suppliers.

The role focuses on enterprise LAN/WAN/WLAN/SD-WAN, automation, and collaboration with Product, Architecture, and Cyber Security to deliver resilient network services with high availability.

Qualifications

• Experience leading network engineering teams in large enterprises or service providers.
• Strong knowledge of enterprise LAN/WLAN/WAN/SD-WAN architecture and security.
• Experience delivering network services across geographically distributed sites.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of Network Engineers and Senior Network Engineers, setting priorities, objectives, and performance expectations.
• Coordinate technical escalations and major incident responses, ensuring effective collaboration with internal stakeholders, vendors, and delivery partners.
• Partner with Product, Architecture, and Cyber Security teams to ensure alignment with global standards, reference architectures, and security controls.
• Manage regional network risks, capacity, resilience, performance, and supplier relationships while providing visibility of delivery progress and operational outcomes.

What We Are Looking For

• Demonstrated experience leading network engineering teams within a large enterprise, service provider, systems integrator, or managed services environment.
• Strong technical understanding of enterprise LAN, WLAN, WAN, and SD-WAN technologies, including routing, switching, segmentation, resilience, security, and high availability.
• Experience delivering and operating network services across geographically distributed sites such as offices, warehouses, terminals, manufacturing facilities, or other operational environments.
• Strong stakeholder management, communication, people leadership, coaching, workforce planning, and vendor management capabilities.
• Familiarity with network automation, APIs, Python, Ansible, Infrastructure as Code, observability, SASE/SSE, cloud networking, Agile delivery, and ITIL practices is advantageous.
• Relevant professional certifications such as Cisco CCNP Enterprise, Cisco or Fortinet SD-WAN certifications, HPE Aruba, Juniper, or equivalent are desirable.
