Job summary

IMC is building a new Energy Trading business in Aarhus, Denmark, seeking Software Engineers to join and grow this venture. You will build a full tech stack for power and gas trading, including exchange connectivity and trading systems, and work with traders and quants.

Requirements: 3+ years as a software engineer; strong C++ or Rust; Python/Java a plus; solid CS or quantitative degree; fluent English. This role offers a fast-paced startup environment with immediate production impact.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional experience as a software engineer.
• Strong academic background in computer science or a quantitative field.
• Fluency in English.
• Experience in European energy trading is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Build a full technology stack for power and gas trading, including exchange connectivity, trading systems, data analysis, and pricing.
• Maintain and improve the tech stack in collaboration with trading.
• Train new joiners and onboard junior engineers.
• Collaborate with traders and quants to develop trading strategies.
