Job summary

Alstom in Copenhagen, Denmark is seeking an experienced Project Manager for EHS responsibilities across projects. You will ensure safe operations, implement emergency plans, and drive environmental health and safety initiatives in collaboration with project teams.

The role requires 5–8 years in EHS, knowledge of ISO 14001/45001, and willingness to travel between Copenhagen and Århus with some night/evening work. Railway sector experience is desirable.

Qualifications

• University degree in a relevant discipline.
• Health & Safety qualification.
• Professional experience of 5–8 years, including 3+ years in EHS roles and projects.
• Knowledge of ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards.
• Familiarity with local EHS requirements.
• Experience in the railway industry is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Ensure EHS risk assessments are conducted and control measures defined for projects.
• Prepare and maintain emergency plans at the project level.
• Oversee subcontractor activities to ensure EHS compliance.
• Coach and mentor EHS teams and support project staffing.
• Deploy Alstom EHS standards and tools (AZDP and TOPE).
• Monitor compliance with legal, regulatory, contractual, and company EHS requirements.
• Lead accident prevention, investigate incidents, and share lessons learned (REX).
• Prepare and submit monthly EHS reports and ensure data quality.
