Job summary

Aarhus University’s Department of Biology seeks an Educational developer to shape a new MSc in Nature and Landscape Management. You will collaborate with faculty, design case-based teaching, and connect with external partners to deliver field and data-driven modules.

Strong background in natural sciences and teaching, plus initiative and English proficiency, are essential for advancing interdisciplinary education and managing multi-partner course activities.

Qualifications

• Experience in management-relevant research through a PhD and/or postdoctoral positions.
• Understanding of research-based teaching and its practical application.
• Extensive knowledge of nature and landscape management.
• Curiosity about biological, geological and chemical processes and their interactions.
• Strong analytical skills and experience with datasets relevant to nature and landscape management, R and GIS.
• Strong organisational and project management skills. Experience in planning, executing and administering projects, teaching activities and/or fieldwork.
• Ability to collaborate across disciplines.
• Teaching experience is an advantage.
• Highly proficient in written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the development of teaching and teaching materials for the programme.
• Develop and contribute to student onboarding.
• Establish collaborations with external partners for teaching and case-based projects.
• Organise and support teaching activities, including field excursions.
• Help ensure coherence across courses.
• Focus on developing research-based teaching materials and activities; assist in teaching by scientists and external partners.
