The LEGO Group—a world‑leading family of play experiences—seeks a Director of Operations/MST Data to shape how data and AI drive value across Manufacturing and Supply Chain. Initially an individual contributor role, with plans to build a team as alignment grows with business leaders.

You will connect business priorities with product, engineering and data teams to deliver meaningful outcomes, while navigating a hybrid work rhythm within the LEGO Digital Technology ecosystem.

About The Role

As our Director Operations/MST - Data, you'll help shape how data and AI create value across Manufacturing and Supply Chain. The role starts as an individual contributor role with the ambition to build a team below once we have alignment and agreement with the business. You'll partner with senior leaders to define a clear vision, identify high‑impact opportunities, and turn ambition into action. This is a unique opportunity to build an embedded data and AI presence in a new domain, creating early momentum, influencing strategy, and helping leaders make better decisions through data. You'll connect business priorities with the capabilities of product, engineering, and data teams to deliver meaningful outcomes.

Please note Relocation support is not available for this role.

Required Qualifications

• Applied data and AI solutions within manufacturing, supply chain, or operational environments
• Built data and AI opportunities from business challenges and translated them into practical solutions
• Established credibility with data science and engineering teams through strong technical depth
• Developed business cases linked to operational and commercial outcomes
• Implemented data governance, data quality, and data modelling practices
• Delivered results in environments where physical operations and digital capabilities intersect

Preferred Qualifications

• Applied data and AI to predictive maintenance, production scheduling, demand planning, quality control, yield optimisation, or digital twins
• Worked with operational data including IoT, sensor, streaming, MES, or ERP environments
• Established a new data, analytics, or AI capability from the ground up
• Implemented modern cloud‑native or lakehouse data platform architectures

Life on the team

You'll join the Data Office leadership team within the LEGO Group's Digital Technology organisation. The team provides enterprise data platforms, governance, and best practices for data and AI while working closely with business areas to increase data maturity and business impact. This role suits someone who enjoys ambiguity, builds trust through relationships, influences without formal authority, and helps others see what's possible through data and AI. We work in a hybrid rhythm and collaborate closely across technology and business teams.

What Success Looks Like

Success means becoming a trusted partner to operational leaders and ensuring data and AI are part of the conversations that matter most. Over the next 12 to 18 months, you'll help establish a new embedded capability, define where investment should be focused, and shape the future team needed to support long‑term ambitions. You'll work closely with cluster leaders, technology leaders, product teams, engineers, the enterprise data platform team, and Data Office leadership to make that happen.
