Job summary

AutoProff is seeking a DevEx Engineer to join the Empower platform squad “Taycan.” The role is split between our HQ in Vejle and our Copenhagen office, offering a hybrid work model across two locations. You will build shared tooling, libraries, and development patterns to simplify software delivery across engineering squads.

You’ll work on Outbox, Sagas, observability, and rehydration tooling while enabling teams to adopt platform practices and agentic AI capabilities to accelerate product value.

Qualifications

• Experience with .NET/C# in a distributed environment.
• Hands-on with AWS services (ECS/Lambda/SQS/S3) and IaC tooling.
• Familiarity with Outbox, Sagas and CDC patterns.

Responsibilities

We’re looking for a DevEx Engineer to join our Empower platform squad "Taycan". The squad is split between our HQ in Vejle and our Copenhagen office, so the role can be based in either location.

The Taycan squad helps engineers spend more time delivering product value and less time solving the same technical problems. We build shared capabilities that make the preferred engineering path easier to use.

As our new DevEx Engineer, you’ll work on shared tooling, libraries and development patterns used by engineering squads across AutoProff. From scaffolding and shared libraries to patterns such as Outbox, Sagas and messaging, you’ll help make software development simpler and more consistent - so our product squads can spend less time solving the same technical problems and more time building great products.

You’ll work closely with platform engineers, service owners and engineers across our product squads, building solutions that are used across the engineering organisation rather than within just one product area.

Help build shared capabilities and DevEx foundations that enable teams to work effectively with agentic AI.

Use agentic AI in your own DevEx work and share practical learning with engineering teams.

Let's dive into your key responsibilities, you will

• Build and evolve shared libraries, scaffolding templates, and CI/CD tooling that remove recurring friction for product squads.
• Build paved paths for messaging patterns like Outbox and Sagas, observability, and rehydration/recovery tooling.
• Support developers in adopting shared standards for tracing, service integration, and AWS infrastructure.
• Work with engineers across product squads to understand recurring friction and turn it into DevEx priorities.
• Help squads adopt platform practices that make service ownership, operation, and reuse easier.
• Support developers in adopting shared standards for tracing, service integration, AWS infrastructure, and secure, reliable defaults

The need-to-have

• Strong engineering experience in .NET / C#.
• Proficiency in AWS services (e.g., ECS, Lambda, SQS, S3) and infrastructure-as-code (CDK/Terraform).
• Familiarity with microservices, event-driven architecture, and distributed-systems patterns such as Outbox, Sagas, and CDC.
• Hands-on experience building shared libraries, observability tooling, and reusable APIs.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills, able to support squads, gather feedback, and drive adoption.

The nice-to-have skills

• Experience in platform engineering or developer enablement roles.
• Familiarity with internal documentation practices, onboarding tooling, and automated scaffolding.
• Hands-on work with service event rehydration, incident recovery tooling, or metadata standards.
• Practical experience using LLMs, generative AI, or agentic AI in software development.
