Job summary

VERO MODA is seeking a creative Designer for its outerwear team in Aarhus C, Denmark, on a maternity cover basis. You will design and develop the main outerwear collection across jackets and related categories, collaborating with the Design & Buying teams and suppliers.

You will explore fabrics, colours and details to deliver both delicate and commercial styles while managing multiple collections in a dynamic workflow. The role requires strong trend sense and English proficiency.

Qualifications

• Degree in Fashion Design or similar.
• Experience as a designer within the fashion industry.
• Knowledge of woven qualities, construction and fitting.
• Fluency in English, written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Driving the design process from idea to production, including commenting on fit samples and approving lap dips and trims.
• Conducting ongoing market and trend research to ensure relevant and competitive collections.
• Building collections with variation in shape, quality and price levels.
• Presenting styles and trend directions at internal sales meetings.
• Participating in supplier visits, inspiration trips and sales meetings.

Are you an energetic and creative designer with the ability to convert fast-moving trends into inspiring collections for VERO MODA?

We are looking for a Designer to join our outerwear team in a maternity cover position, contributing to the continued development of our collections while one of our valued colleagues is on maternity leave.

THE TEAM

You will join a group of dedicated buying- and design colleagues who are all part of VERO MODA’s outerwear team, characterised by an environment where ideas are challenged and decisions are made collaboratively.

YOUR ROLE

You will be responsible for designing and developing the main outerwear collection across jackets and related categories. You get the opportunity to experiment with both qualities, colours, and details - allowing you to dive into both delicate and commercial designs while working in a dynamic flow with several collections at the same time.

In collaboration with the rest of the team, you ensure that VERO MODA’s outerwear products are constantly developed and optimised in relation to trend, speed, quality, and fitting. You will work closely with our Design & Buying team on the express collection, and you will have a wide range of contacts both internally in VERO MODA's organization and externally with our suppliers.

Your responsibilities include:

YOUR PROFILE

You have a strong sense of trends and understand how to translate them into relevant outerwear styles. You combine creativity with structure and meet deadlines without compromising quality. You thrive in a fast-paced environment where priorities can shift and decisions are made quickly.

We expect that you have:

• A degree in Fashion Design or similar
• Experience as a designer within the fashion industry
• Knowledge of woven qualities, construction and fitting
• Skills in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign
• Fluency in English, written and spoken

Workplace: Aarhus C, Denmark
Travel: Approx. 10–15 days per year
Maternity Cover: This position is a maternity cover of approximately 1 year.
