Job summary

HW3 is seeking an experienced ABB 800xA Engineer to support a major automation project in Denmark. You will develop, modify, and optimise ABB 800xA automation code, and lead testing from factory through site acceptance.

The role requires hands-on ABB 800xA experience and strong troubleshooting skills, working closely with project engineers and commissioning teams on-site in Denmark. A market-rate contract is offered for 12 months with extension potential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of hands-on ABB 800xA experience.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced project environment.
• Experience with testing and troubleshooting in industrial automation.

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced ABB 800xA Engineer to support a major automation project in Denmark. You would be working on ABB 800xA systems through the final stages of development, testing, and code modifications.

Responsibilities

• Develop, modify, and optimise ABB 800xA automation code
• Execute testing activities including factory and site acceptance testing
• Troubleshoot and resolve control system issues
• Re-code and redevelop automation packages where required
• Identify and implement improvements to system performance and reliability
• Work closely with project engineers, commissioning teams, and stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery
• Produce and maintain technical documentation as required

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of hands‑on ABB 800xA experience

Required Skills

• Strong automation software coding/programming experience
• Proven testing and troubleshooting experience within industrial automation environments
• Experience supporting commissioning and start‑up activities
• Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced project environment

Preferred Skills

• ABB 800xA Batch Management experience
• Knowledge of ISA-88 (S88) Batch Control
• Experience within either pharmaceutical, process, or chemical industries

Pay range and compensation package

• Initial 12‑month contract, with option to extend
• Denmark-based project; fully on site
