Job summary

Demant is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to shape meaningful use cases and move machine learning from idea to scalable, production-ready solutions. You will work closely with commercial and operational stakeholders to translate needs into data science and ML projects that deliver measurable value.

In a business-facing data science role, you will manage the end-to-end lifecycle from data exploration to production handover, with strong emphasis on practical, governed, and scalable implementations

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in data science, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematical Modelling, IT or a similar relevant field.
• 3+ years of professional experience in data science, ML, statistical modelling and predictive analytics.
• Solid Python and SQL skills; write clean, maintainable code.
• Experience with cloud-based data platforms (we use GCP).
• Fluent in English; company language is English.

In Hearing Care, we are enhancing how data science supports commercial and operational decision-making. As our Senior Data Scientist, you will work close to the business, shape meaningful use cases and help move machine learning from idea to scalable, production-ready solutions.

Turn business challenges into scalable machine learning solutions

You will join Commercial Excellence in a business-facing data science role. Working closely with commercial and operational stakeholders, you will learn how they work, understand their challenges and decision‑making processes, and translate those needs into clear data science and machine learning cases.

You will manage the end‑of‑the‑end data science lifecycle: exploring and preparing data, feature engineering, modelling, experimentation and evaluation. You will build, validate and continuously improve machine learning models, often in data environments that are imperfect, fragmented or still evolving.

A key part of the role is making sure solutions can live beyond the prototype. Together with MLOps, Data Engineers and Architecture, you will help move models into scalable production solutions and follow their performance over time, including model drift, retraining needs and continued business relevance.

The role gives you the opportunity to help shape how data science is used across Hearing Care. As our AI maturity develops, you will have room to shape ways of working, build closer collaboration between business and technology, and build solutions that are practical, governed and adopted in the organisation.

Bring technical depth and business curiosity

You are an experienced data scientist who enjoys getting close to business problems and finding a pragmatic path from data to value. To be effective in the role, we expect that you:

• Have a bachelor’s or master’s degree in data science, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematical Modelling, IT or a similar relevant field.
• Bring 3+ years of professional experience in data science, machine learning, statistical modelling and predictive analytics.
• Are comfortable across the model development lifecycle, including data exploration, feature engineering, training, validation, production handover, monitoring and retraining.
• Have solid Python and SQL skills and can write clean, maintainable code aligned with good software-development practices.
• Can work with imperfect or fragmented data and identify what is needed to make a use case feasible.
• Communicate complex analytical findings clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Are familiar with MLOps practices, CI/CD, model monitoring and production handover.
• Have experience working with cloud-based data platforms; we use GCP.
• Are fluent in English, as it is our company language.
