Job summary

Novo Nordisk invites applications for a Data Engineering Intern to join the Quality Data Hub team. You will work on cloud-based data pipelines, contributing to Python/SQL development, tests, and data quality checks within a regulated environment.

You will collaborate with engineers and data specialists, gain hands-on experience with AWS, Databricks, and GitHub Actions, and gradually take ownership of improvements from implementation to documentation.

Qualifications

• Currently studying for a degree in software engineering, computer science, data science, engineering, or a related subject at master's level.
• Have basic experience with Python, SQL, and Git
• Understand fundamental software development concepts
• Are interested in testing, debugging, and data quality
• Work in a structured and careful way
• Are comfortable asking questions and learning from feedback
• Experience with AWS, Databricks, automated testing, data pipelines, or GitHub Actions is an advantage but not required. Previous experience from the pharmaceutical industry is also not required.
• You must be able to commit to 2-3 days on site a week.

Responsibilities

• Improve data pipelines using Python and SQL
• Add automated tests and data quality checks
• Investigate and fix pipeline failures by reviewing logs, test results, and source data
• Support improvements to our GitHub‑based development and deployment processes
• Maintain workflows, technical documentation, and operational guides
• Work with engineers and data specialists to understand requirements and find practical solutions
