Job summary

Zeta Global Copenhagen is seeking a data engineer to join the Data Exchange team, developing and maintaining scalable data pipelines and data infrastructure across global teams.

You will work on analytics, data processing, and software development practices in an agile environment with flexible, hybrid work options. The Copenhagen office is the base, with opportunities to collaborate across regions.

Qualifications

• Strong academic background in a quantitative field (CS, Math, Physics, or related).
• Hands-on experience designing, building, and maintaining scalable data pipelines.
• Proficiency in Python, Scala or other OOP languages for data engineering.
• Strong data analysis skills with large datasets.
• Knowledge of distributed data processing for batch workloads.
• Solid understanding of database technologies.
• 3–6 years of experience with Scala for data processing.
• Strong software engineering skills, including CI/CD and best coding practices.
• Familiarity with data integrations and efficient data transfers.
• Knowledge of data modeling, data warehousing concepts, and query optimization techniques.
• Experience with distributed data processing using Apache Spark.
• Experience with Airflow for workflow orchestration, scheduling, and monitoring data pipelines.
• Cloud expertise, particularly AWS, including services such as S3, Glue, Athena and EMR.
