Bestseller is seeking an analytically minded Data Engineer to help transform our data capabilities across Ecommerce, Product Experience, and operations. You’ll join a data-driven team in Aarhus (DK) or Amsterdam, delivering cloud-native pipelines and data products that empower decisions.

You’ll work with AWS/GCP/Azure, Kafka, Snowflake, dbt and Airflow, building robust data solutions, implementing data contracts, and collaborating with stakeholders to translate business needs into measurable

Qualifications

  • Experience as a Data Engineer or similar role with production-grade data systems.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to translate business requirements into scalable data solutions.
  • Hands-on with modern data technologies such as AWS, GCP or Azure, Kafka, Snowflake, dbt or Airflow.
  • Solid skills in SQL, Python and data modelling; experience with API development (REST/GraphQL) and integration tech (S3, SFTP).
  • Familiar with data mesh principles, data governance and domain-driven design.

Responsibilities

  • Build and deploy data pipelines, APIs and integration services in a cloud-native environment.
  • Implement data products, including data contracts and observability practices.
  • Model and transform data to support analytical and operational use cases.
  • Engage with stakeholders to understand data needs and translate them into practical solutions.

YOUR TEAM

You’ll join our Ecommerce / Product Experience Team, a close-knit group of Data Engineers based at our offices in Aarhus, Denmark and Amsterdam, the Netherlands who care as much about business outcomes as they do about clean code. We sit at the heart of BESTSELLER's data transformation, working across e-commerce, product development and operations to deliver data that people and the business can rely on.

As a team,we:

  • define best practices and onboard domains into our data mesh architecture
  • partner with business stakeholders to turn opportunities and challenges into reliable and scalable data products
  • collaborate across brands and business units to ensure data is discoverable, trustworthy and reusable
YOUR ROLE

This role combines engineering depth with business understanding. Youwon'tjust build pipelines.You'llunderstand why they matter, work closely with stakeholders to define what good data looks like for each domain and translate business needs into robust and maintainable solutions.

YOUR PROFILE

We’re looking for someone who combines solid engineering skills with a genuine curiosity about the business side of data. You ask why before you ask how, andyou'recomfortable working with both technical and non-technical stakeholders to find the right solution.You work in a structured way, keep track of priorities anddependenciesand follow tasks through to completion.

Weimaginethatyou:

  • have experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role, building production-grade data systems and backend services
  • have strong analytical skills and can translate business requirements into scalable and well-designed data solutions
  • have hands-on experience with modern data technologies such as AWS, GCP or Azure, Kafka, Snowflake, dbt or Airflow
  • have solid skills in SQL, Python and data modelling
  • have experience with API development, such as REST or GraphQL, and integration technologies such as S3, SFTP or REST
  • are familiar with data mesh principles, data governance and domain-driven design
