Job summary

JAM Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Mechanical Commissioning Lead for a major data centre project in Fredericia, Denmark. You will own the mechanical commissioning from planning to sign-off, coordinating with project teams and vendors to deliver safe, compliant systems on a long-term programme.

The role requires strong leadership, a proven track record on large-scale projects and experience with data-centre environments or mission-critical facilities.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in mechanical commissioning from planning to sign-off.
• Experience leading commissioning activities or teams.
• Track record delivering large-scale engineering/construction projects.
• Strong ability to interpret drawings, specs and technical docs.
• Experience coordinating subcontractors and vendors.
• Excellent organisational and reporting skills.
• Proactive in issue identification and resolution.
• Data centre or mission-critical environment experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement mechanical commissioning plans.
• Review IFC drawings, specifications and submittals.
• Coordinate commissioning with planners, engineers and vendors.
• Attend client commissioning meetings and maintain alignment.
• Define system boundaries, benchmarks and requirements.
• Review and approve commissioning checklists and test packs.
• Coordinate and witness commissioning activities.
• Lead system walkdowns, tag walks and sign-off.
• Manage trackers, logs and weekly progress reports.
• Identify and close out commissioning snags.
• Coordinate specialists and ensure activities align with programme.
• Ensure client training is completed on schedule.
• Identify commissioning risks and communicate impacts.
• Work with Project Management and Commercial teams on commissioning matters.
• Mentor and support junior commissioning engineers.
