Job description

Data Analytics Engineer

We’re looking for a Data Analytics Engineer to join our Data team and help us shape the data ecosystem in the company. You’ll likely thrive in this role if you have a strong analytical mindset and proven experience in transforming complex data into actionable insights. If a dynamic, cross-functional environment brings out your best, you’ll feel right at home.

We are flexible with the location of this role.

We are open to on-site (offices in Copenhagen or Wroclaw), hybrid, and remote working.

About Us

Cookie Information and Piwik PRO are leading SaaS companies specializing in privacy-first compliance and analytics. Together, we’re building intuitive, user-friendly products that help organizations navigate data privacy and marketing insights.

You will join a small, newly formed Data team consisting of one other Data Analytics Engineer and one Data Analyst.

The Role

Day-to-day, you will work closely with engineering, product, and business stakeholders to support data-driven decision-making across the organization. You will act as the owner of data integrity and play a key role in the growth and development of our data infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and manage datasets in a modern data warehouse environment (we use BigQuery).
  • Design, build, and maintain robust data pipelines using dbt.
  • Write, optimize, and maintain complex SQL queries for various analytical needs.
  • Take independent ownership of data quality and data integrity across the data warehouse, proactively identifying inconsistencies, monitoring data reliability, and driving improvements at the source.
  • Collaborate with engineers and other internal stakeholders to ensure data accuracy, accessibility, and relevance.
  • Analyze and interpret complex datasets to support strategic business initiatives.
  • Build interactive and insightful data visualizations and dashboards using Looker Studio.
  • Document analytical processes and methodologies to ensure reproducibility and clarity.
About you
  • A minimum of 2 years hands‑on experience in a Data Analytics Engineer or related analytics role, ideally within SaaS or ecommerce environments.
  • Solid background in using modern data warehouse platforms, such as BigQuery, Redshift, Snowflake, or similar technologies, including querying, performance tuning, and data modeling.
  • Practical experience building and maintaining data transformation pipelines using dbt or similar tools (e.g. Dataform).
  • Ability to develop and maintain Python-based pipelines (e.g. dlt) and data transformations for ingestion into the data warehouse.
  • Proven ability to translate complex data insights into clear business actions, aligning analytical work with broader company objectives.
  • Strong command of English, both written and spoken (B2+).

It would also be great if you have:

  • Experience in visual analytics with tools like Power BI and Looker Studio, capable of building impactful dashboards and reports.
  • Experience with AI-assisted data analysis or business intelligence.
What we offer:
  • Professional development budget, health insurance, and other benefits.
  • A positive, informal workplace.
  • The opportunity to work with a modern, recently built data warehouse with plenty of scope for development.
  • The opportunity to shape and develop your role.
